New Audi Q5

Anonymous
Ok,

So I got one as a loaner.

I have had the 2010 and 2019 Q5’s in the past. Good solid cars. Nice drive, nice quality interior.

Had the brand new 2025 model. Outside styling is bland. Looks just like a Q4 and Q6. Hard to tell them apart. Kinda looks like a Ford Escape. Yuck for a 50k+ car. The drive was decent. No real difference from previous models.

The inside was horrible. Cheap plastics everywhere. On the doors, dash….

Worst part was at center console, where the previous models used metal, they started using grey painted plastics. The loaner already has tons of scratches In the plastic. That was just cheap. Also the model we had was the premium plus. So the only passenger screen was just a big block of black plastic. You need the prestige version to get the passenger screen working. It looked sooooo bad.

Also they removed most physical knobs. So before when driving and watching the nav o. The screen, you could adjust the temps by turning a knob for a second. Now you have to tap the touch screen. Navigate to the temps, slide the temp setting and then tap out of the screen. What took 1 second now takes longer. And while you do that, you lose your navigation as it’s all on one screen???? Why.

I have seen very few new ones on the road. This will be a huge bust for Audi.

The Q5 has never been a high-end car, it's just leaning more towards VW now. There's a reason they have been getting crushed by BMW in US sales the past few years.

Porsche I can kind of understand, but it's beyond me why someone would support VW/Audi post-emissions cheating.
