You vs You

When are these threads going to stop? At the end of the day our kids are the biggest predictors of their own success and not the school.

Yes

I personally think it’s a kid who has nothing better to do. I’d just ignore them.

The kids are perhaps the gibberish responses? The school a versus b threads have been out of control lately. Duke or Noethwestern doesn’t matter, the student does.

It’s only worthy of comparing when it’s you vs you. The poster wants to know nuances in choosing you vs you. No one cares if two schools are not peer schools.

+1 why do people like OP need to post their opinions about this? Generally, if people think like OP, and don't care about the angst around college admissions, they would not read the posts.

I, for one, find the college threads useful because I'm a lot older than many on here, and I grew up in CA and only knew CA schools. I never knew about ED, EA; didn't know anything about the VA/MD colleges, or the fact that some lesser privates give good merit aid... so, I have found this forum very informative.

I just keep out the noise, like about T10 because my kids don't and won't be going to a T10.
