Wait, you mean there is a country in Africa that was created by the USA to send former slaves to? And the capital is named for the US president who created it? Wow, who knew? |
And who knew that their official language is English? |
Such an embarrassment |
I was wondering why he wasn’t briefed by staff on each leader he would be interacting with and a bit about their country. But then I remembered hearing that he never ever likes being instructed or corrected in any way. Which leads to situations such as these where he “wings it” based on his second grade knowledge of history and world affairs. And world leaders have to put up with this because of his power as the president of the United States. He is an embarrassment to us in so many ways.

Except they never teach the whole story of what happened. Most Americans who went to Liberia died. The ones who survived numbered under 5,000. Those survivors ruthlessly oppressed the native Liberians because they were considered ungodly savages. It was t like they went to land that was unoccupied. The tiny number of American Liberians intermarried and maintained power in Liberia for decades until theye were civil wars. |
Not to mention the country’s importance to the American company Firestone. |
Yes, horrible story. Was there twice at the very beginning of the war. That said, it doesn't change the facts about the use of English, etc. |
Op got schooled on Liberia |
That’s actually hilarious because there are also lots of other countries in Africa where English is widely spoken. Which Trump should probably remember from meeting with foreign dignitaries during his first term … but for the pesky dementia getting in the way. |
Do you think Trump ever asked Elon where he learned to speak English? |
IDGAF about Liberia. |
In 19 African countries English is an official language or is THE official language.
Trump is a moron. |
Everyone but Republicans! |
Of course you don't sweetie. |
