We all know which schools are included in "Ivy."
We all know what schools are included in HYPMS. So what are the maybe 2-3 schools not included in either of the above - if any? Cal Tech? What does T-10 even mean? |
I’ll bite. HYPSM Caltech WASP There’s your 10! |
Here are the top ten according to USNWR: https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities?_sort=rank&_sortDirection=asc So, they add in Duke, Northwestern, U of Chicago into the Top 10. |
Uchicago is better than Amherst. |
How it it possible that so many people stumble upon the internet, find this website, and post some version of this question daily? |
Ivies, Stanford, MIT, Hopkins, Chicago, Rice, Vanderbilt, NW, Amherst, Williams all are contenders for T10. |
*Caltech |
These plus Caltech and Duke. |
In my opinion, a T10 designation lacks meaning without a source and a category. This site, for example, includes Rice, Caltech, CMU, Northwestern and JHU:

TF is NW? |
You forgot Hopkins and Georgetown which are solidly in the top 10. |
in no way are vanderbilt and amherst in contention. amherst has a 39% yield with ed lol. the rest, along with duke and caltech, yes. |
If Williams is the top lac, I wouldn’t include LACs in the t10 |
Georgetown? lol |
If Engineering, which is it's own island when it comes to prestige in it's field and subsequently jobs and $$$. The list is very different. Engineering is unique that way. |
