How do I get over my envy/jealousy?

All the SAHMs where I live drive nice luxury SUVs while I work and can't afford the latest Lincoln Navigator LUXE.

How do I get over myself?

Imagine going to bed with their limp noodle husbands.

Move. I know this sounds snarky, but if you're in a neighborhood with working moms and SAHMs who are driving 5 year old Honda Pilots, you won't be jealous.

Life isn't about what other people have but about what you can have and what you can't have. Just find your peace. Everyone can't have everything. If there are no better takers for what you offer, no point in wasting your energy in envy.

If you aren't successful in finding high income job or high income husband, its not other women's fault, its either God's or yours.

This. You have no one but yourself to blame.

On a more serious note: Have you ever thought about how "envy" is the only one of the Seven Deadly Sins that's no fun at all? Excruciatingly painful, in fact.

You actually look at what someone is driving? Seriously yawn. No wonder people are on medications and advising for therapy every chance they get on this board and in real life.

Troll, but I wouldn't drive any of those cars if someone paid me.

Live somewhere else. Seriously, move to where the people are more like you. You will be happier.

Buy a certified used one. It will be 30-40% off.

Why would you want a Lincoln Navigator or another luxury car? I’m a SAHM and refuse to buy one specifically because I don’t want to be like the other moms at school. Find new friends and don’t worry about what people drive. I’m happy with my Toyota.

You drive your beat-up 20 year old basic Japanese car everywhere, like I do. I did not intend for my car to become a statement of anything, but at this point it is

Move , get therapy, and/or figure out how to change your life into something you want it to be.

Don't do something like buy a car just because. Don't try to convince yourself they aren't happy or try to pick apart their lives to make yourself feel better.

Work on yourself. You're unhappy with yourself and your life. Fix it.
