I was surprised when talking to my child that if they got an offer from a college they are waitlisted at they would absolutely take it.
I don’t think their chances are very good, however if it were to happen you don’t have my days to accept the offer. Anyone have a child who got off waitlist in summer and took the offer? Curious how it went. |
Anyone? |
Not summer, but May last year, and in my opinion concept is same. It was a lot to process, but had they had offer at same time they would have taken it so they switched. Four years is what matters, minor inconvenience in the scheme of things and it really wasn’t one other than initial stress. |
It’s playing the long game. If it’s what your kid wants, getting off the waitlist is a great thing. |
I personally think it’s horrible wait lists go on for this long. It should be done by now. |
Agree, but I also don't think it's a big deal to switch anytime before you start. |
The waiting is worth it to the kids who are eager to attend the school. If it weren't for the messy situation with international kids, they'd have no chance at all at this point. |
