I am getting a massage chair delivered and would like to ask the delivery person to bring it inside (right by the front door). Delivery fee was paid. Would it be okay to ask them to bring it inside and do I need to tip them? What do you think? |
Right by the front door? You don't need to tip. |
If they would normally deliver to the door, and not inside? And you ask them to bring it in? Give them a $20. |
I’d give them $20 to bring it in the house.
They’re probably not even required to bring it right to the front door. |
$20 |
That's what the delivery fee covers. I would not be tipping personally. |
A cold non-alcoholic drink if delivering in a frickin heat wave middle of day sun |
My house has lots of outdoor steps - I always tip folks who delivery bulky/heavy items. $20 and a cold drink seems to be appreciated. |
Does the delivery include setup? We had a massage chair delivered with setup and did not tip since it was an extra fee. The delivery people removed the plastic and tested the chair after plugging it in. |
My house has a few steps. I would tip, not a lot, but as a token acknowledgement that they made an extra effort.
|
Nope. The time and effort of loading in their delivery truck, driving, and then unloading--that's what it covers. Personally, I hope you haul all your purchases home yourself, if you are not going to even tip $20. |
Don't let them poop in your house. |
Or let em take a quick nap on carpet floor to stretch out their back in an air conditioned home. |
No tip. |
What is/was the agreed upon delivery with the logistics company? In the long run, tip the delivery staff. Otherwise, rent a truck and do it yourself in 100 degree weather. |
