I do solo stuff a few times a year when my spouse is in conferences. So, I'm not really picking the destination, but I'm always checking Trip Advisor and similar for walking tours, etc. in those areas.
San Diego and Charleston are very nice with a lot of walking tours or hop on/hop off buses. Savannah, too. But I wouldn't go to Charleston or Savannah now! It really depends what you like to do. You can also Google "Visit (cityname)" and see what comes up. |
Are you trolling? Trying to have the vaguest OP of the summer? |
I have motorcycled solo down the Blue Ridge Parkway, on the South Island of New Zealand, and in the Sonoma Valley. All very enjoyable rides. |
I’d look for a nice cruiseline that was waiving the single supplement |
are you male or female? are you looking for "action" on vacation? if you know what I mean . . . |
I enjoyed Miami solo, tagged a 3 day weekend on to a work trip. Highlights were a good tour of little Havana, riding my hotels loaner bike along Miami Beach, and a golf cart tour of Winwood walls (graffiti art). |
oops l mean food tour |
I’ve gone all over solo- weeks at a spa (head to Santa Fe!), weeks at a dude ranch, weeks at a yoga retreat, and stayed solo on islands and in cities around the US and Central America. It all depends on what you like to do. What do you like to do? |
What time of year? |
Paris as a solo traveler is always enjoyable. Just sit in a cafe for hours, people-watching. |
Yes. As is as a solo in Sedona (Arizona USA) which is completely different than Pari |
I like cities and deserts as a solo traveler. My family doesn’t like adventurous food, so bonus points for places with great street food. If I had to pick somewhere right now, I’d choose Singapore for a city, or the Atacama desert for some hiking, scenery, and spa time. |
I had a great time in Berlin a couple years ago by myself. |
