UTI help

I'm going to the gyn and nurse prac to get a handle on my UTIs. If you have gone down this road, what are the options to prevent or be prescribed anything?

Vaginal estrogen is the most effective preventative

I had recurrent UTIs for years. Even when I didn’t have an active infection, I never felt well, but as though one was on the verge of hitting. Finally, I went to a urologist who gave me some antibiotics to take prophylactically. That was five years ago and I haven’t had a UTI since.

You can get a prescription for methenamine which is an old school treatment for UTIs. It's also found in lower concentration in AZO preventative treatment pills.

D-Manoose supplements

Switch to a thin toilet paper like Scott's.

Vaginal estrogen cream like above poster suggested.

I would only take antibiotics prophylactically after exhausting all other preventative measures.

Theracran and estrogen as others have recommended.

cranberry pills

unsweetened cranberry juice if you can stand it

Keeping your nether regions very clean especially after a poop. Wash with mild soap and water, and then use some coconut oil to moisturize the anal region and the vag area.

I had this and vaginal estrogen cream turned it all around. Like a miracle. Haven't had that feeling in years now.
