Spray tan for mildly freckled skin?

I am 60 with mildly freckled fair skin. I use sunscreen religiously and have had lasers on my face.

I slather with sunscreen on our beach vacations. So I look pale but in pics next to my family.

I heard some people do spray tans before beach vacations for this reason. I have never gotten one.

I also heard spray tans aren’t great for older skin particularly my Irish skin.

Anyone been there done that? Tips? I suppose I should fo a test before vacation but how long do they last? Thanks

I should mention I do get sometimes get white freckles and sunspots when I am exposed to sun.

I have seen this body makeup all over the internet and I don’t love the idea as an alternative. I mention because some do the ads are now saying use their product because spray tans not for older women.

Just know that it will make all of your freckles darker, which for me looks weird. Also, the inconsistencies that you’ll get around your hands, elbows, feet, and any dry patches will be even more noticeable in direct sunlight. I like spray tans for special occasions because I think it makes me have a healthy glow and I look better in clothing, but I would never do one for a beach vacation. It might look good for a couple of days but when it starts to fade on very pale skin it’s not a good look.

If you have a lot of money, getting a spray tan from someone who does it with an airbrush machine might be good. They can totally customize it. Much better than going into a tanning booth.

What about Jergans tanning lotion? You can control the application plus there’s a version meant for fairer skin.

I am in my 40s but otherwise have skin like you describe. I always get a spray tan before a vacation and I love it. It does not make freckles darker like someone said, it evens my skin out. And you don’t have to go super dark, the formula can be adjusted to suit you

It starts fading for me around day 4. I sometimes bring self tanner to touch it up.
