What's your small good thing for the day?

Costco had excellent Candy Snap grapes last night, plus Rainer cherries at $10.99 for two pounds. I adore the farmer's market, but we're not rich, so sometimes Costco does the trick.

And I finished a book last night, so I'm in that fun space of deciding what I'm in the mood for next.

It's little things like these that make me happy. What's yours?

Boyfriend brought me coffee in bed.

My teen daughter is looking after a friend's cats. One of the cats is very shy, and doesn't want to come out for her when she puts out the food. This means the other cat eats most of it. After a few days, DD figured out that if she crawls under the couch, where the cat is hiding, and offers her her own portion, she will eat it, right there under the couch.

This gave us much satisfaction.

At the SC beach and the humidity is lower today. We can sit outside comfortably and drink our coffee.

I’ve got every window in the house open. I live close to the ocean and the breeze is blowing salty air. The heat has finally broken in New England.

It’s a little cooler today so I can go on my daily walk in the neighborhood.

The tryout my kid is supposed to be attending tonight has been moved, but not canceled due to the heat. We were supposed to have sports the past 3 nights (that my kids look forward to), and it's all been canceled.

It's cool enough that I can walk my dogs for more than a quick potty break, and they love it.

This is such a great feeling. I finished a very long book that took me months last week and it was so exciting picking a new one.
