We had a couple of hours of no internet on Verizon FiOS. No TV either. After the app driving me nut rebooting the router I used X messaging and got somebody to tell me it was a local outage.
Kind of freaky. Iran and all. Anybody else have an outage? We are in Arlington |

The app or AI agent always tells you to reboot the router, ONT, or both. There should be some LEDs on the ONT to tell if you are getting light from the PON.
However, that won't matter since Verizon won't believe you can read LEDs. All it does is assure you that the problem isn't on your end. |
There is light.
Happened again yesterday same time of day. No internet. This time agent did bunch of tests, said everything to ONT is great sending tech to replace router. This morning get text said they did work in area and my "voice" is fixed do I want to cancel. Since voice stayed on and lord knows I spent 4 hours already on this I kept appointment. |
Tech came. Tightened some loose wires in outside box. Checked router. Says it's fine. Left. Fingers crossed that whatever they did yesterday to fix voice did job. |
