Elio - pixar movie

How is it? The trailer looks kinda meh, but I was thinking about taking the kids next week.

We have tickets for this week. It does look meh but we need to get out of the house!

Rotten tomatoes gives it a very high critics score and an even bigger audience score but I’m not even sure I know what it’s about beyond the generic “I don’t fit in, I must find myself” plot.

It’s not on par with the Pixar movies, but decent for the kids to enjoy.

Pretty bad, but when were walking out of the theater, A little girl who looked about 7 exclaimed to her mom that " it was the best movie she ever saw".

I’ll report back after we’ve seen it.

I really liked it, and so did my kids.

I mean when my younger sister was 7 she was obsessed with the Free Willy direct to VHS sequels.

We just saw it tonight. I agree that it was pretty bad. I didn’t care about any of the characters - I couldn’t tell you what the names of all the weird space creatures were. We don’t know when or how Elio’s parents died. I could have cared less. I left to go to the bathroom and was definitely not racing to get back. Also, there was a toddler in the row in front of us that was coughing nonstop - he was clearly ill. The mom finally took the kid out of the theater halfway through. Hope we don’t all get sick. I hate when parents bring their sick kids to the theater. So disrespectful and gross.
