Shopping recs for Paris

Anonymous
I'm working remotely from Paris for a month this summer. Yay! Did the same thing last year, so i had the chance to wander a lot of the well known areas of the city for shopping. I'm hoping to hone in this year on some more interesting shopping recommendations, maybe do some more local stores and get away from the more common French chain stores that I saw everywhere. I will be working a ton, so do not have unlimited time - so want to keep options in more accessible parts of the city. With that said:

- any wonderful ladies clothing shops or areas of the city that i should explore? For every day clothes
- would love recommendations for vintage/used fashion. Nicer than thrift level, ideally some name brands.
- I'm a lingerie hound, and definitely hit up a bunch of stores last time, but always open for new recommendations for fine french lingerie.
- I am in the market for a new small/medium purse up to $4k (or less!), and would welcome recommendations for brands beyond those that we've all heard of.

If anyone has any recs for any of the above, thanks in advance.

I like Sezane, Zadig and Voltaire, Sandro, and Maje - but these might be the common French chains you're trying to avoid.

I also like to pick up Caudalie skincare when I'm in France.

As for a new purse, the Celine triomphe bag is beautiful. It's $4000+ here but should be cheaper in Paris. Happy shopping!

I'm a bit obsessed with the Polène bag just posted on another thread. So I'd head there.

There’s a shop in NYC if you ever go there.

Don't scorn Monoprix. You can get great value on some cosmetics. I got tweezers there in 2015 that are better than any I have from the US.

Crimson Cashmere

(Gorgeous cashmere pieces, Linda Wright and staff are so helpful and lovely to work with.)

Kujten (beautiful selection of colorful cashmere bandanas, something you didn’t know you need in your life!)

Merci - small department store in the Marais with unique clothing and home products. Highly recommend. Also there is a casual restaurant in the store.

You didn’t ask about jewelry or beauty, but just in case you’re interested:

Satellite Paris

(costume jewelry, if it’s your style you’ll be in heaven and have a hard time making decisions)

Officine Universelle Buly
https://buly1803.com/en-us (Beautiful water based perfumes and other beauty products. The stores are atmospheric experiences unto to themselves).

NP. I feel like I’ve found my twin.

Big +1 on the rec to buy Caudalie skincare supplies in France. You can purchase them at many pharmacies and they are much less expensive than in the States.
