Teachers union head Randi Weingarten resigns from DNC

Anonymous
American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten is departing the Democratic National Committee (DNC), citing disagreements with DNC Chair Ken Martin.

Weingarten told Martin in a letter dated June 5 and obtained by The Hill on Sunday that she was declining to be reappointed as an at-large member of the committee.

“While I am a proud Democrat, I appear to be out of step with the leadership you are forging, and I do not want to be the one who keeps questioning why we are not enlarging our tent and actively trying to engage more and more of our community,” wrote Weingarten, who has served as a DNC member for 23 years.

Why was the head of a teacher’s union part of the DNC to begin with?

I used to look up to Randi, but after she pulled that stunt of shutting down schools all over the country until Biden was elected I will never ever forgive her.

Yes, why is the head of the Teacher’s Union an “at large” member of a political party?

You know why.

I just want to hear someone else say it.

I don't understand the question. Or more precisely, I don't understand why you're asking it. Are you saying you're surprised to see unions engaged in politics? Where have you been since the industrial revolution?

Why should a union align officially with one political party? Why shouldn’t they be neutral?

What other labor union leaders serve on the DNC? Any?

She is like Greta Thunberg an angry woman who likes to get on a podium and shout. Not sure why anyone listens to her ridiculous rants. Has ruined so many kids by keeping schools closed far longer than they needed to be closed.

I work directly with elementary aged school children. In an elementary school.

The damage has been irreparable.

What she did is unforgivable. Everyone knows kids who couldn’t cope so well with the lockdowns. Sheer evil.

Should be in a jail cell with Fauci for all the damage they did to American children and the general population.

Exactly. One would think she hates children. In her particular case, I think that’s why she doesn’t have any. She seems to have used them as her stepping stone to move out with the rich and famous in East Hampton. Disgusting.

One can only wonder how many more just like her are still part of our plummeting public school system.

Fire the entire Dept of Education, for starters. That’ll dry up lots of the union cash.
