I thought the conclusion was brilliant. You think you know where Nathan Fielder is going with airline safety and then in the final episode you learn what he’s really been up to and the way he’s been able to manipulate the system. His final words sum it up succinctly.
I’m seriously impressed with the time and effort he put into this, the level of commitment, the nerves of steel. I can’t believe the budget HBO gives him. I wonder how much they insured him for while he was in the cockpit? I love how beautifully he illustrated that if the aviation industry disincentivizes pilots receiving diagnoses, they don’t necessarily prevent people from flying; they just prevent pilots from admitting that they have any issues or seeking help. His ability to get people to go along with absurd, outlandish schemes is unparalleled. I want to know how his mind works, and I absolutely can’t wait to see what he does in Season 3. |
I just watched this as well. It was amazing. I cannot believe it’s real. I don’t want to spoil anything but it’s wild. |
