EVERY upper middle class tween and teen girl wearing booty shorts

Just came from lunch in an affluent area where kids congregate for food, shopping, and socializing and literally every girl was wearing booty shorts. This is clearly some fashion trend? I thought modesty was trending, evidently not. Either sporty form-fitting spandex shorts (that leaves nothing to the imagination) or designer-looking cut-offs up to their lower butt cheek. Some girls looked elementary school aged riding electric scooters in booty shorts. What in the heck, do parents just not care anymore?

I was a tween/teen when rolled soffee shorts with writing on the butt were all the rage. Yes it makes me cringe, but is it new? Nope.

Girls have been wearing short shorts and miniskirts for over a hundred years.

I see the tweens wearing oversized sweat shirts that cover their shorts...so you see a sweatshirt and legs.

It's at the same time both modest (the sweatshirts aren't form fitting at all)...and like wearing a very short dress at the same time.

I assume there are shorts underneath.

We choose not to fight these fights. Most likely you will get there too once your daughters reach this age. She will want to dress like everyone else.

Everyday at kiss and ride loop the girls come out with short-shorts on. One after the other. After the other. The shorts are so high up that you can see their butt cheek jiggling. I’m shocked that they would want to go to school and sit in close proximity to others with their butt cheek edges hanging out all day.

Thongs at the pool too. I don't think they look bad, but it is shocking because I can see heads turning nonstop when these girls walk by. Mostly by other kids since men have trained themselves to not be such lechs.
