Good Night, and Good Luck

Did you watch last night? What did you think?

Did George flub lines? I thought there were a couple spots there that looked a little mushy... The rest of the performance was great, and the sets and costumes were really good.

The montage at the end though... Wow. Bold choice.

I’m so mad that I forgot about this until just after it ended. I really wanted to watch it.

Did CNN censor the profanity?

I saw in last week in person. I was wondering how it would translate to TV. It didn't seem that it would but maybe it did.

The play was great at the theater and yes George did forget/flub a few lines that night too.

I loved it. I wasn’t sure it would work for tv, but it did. The ending was amazing.

i really enjoyed it -- i wish broadway shows were aired on TV once a quarter or twice a year. The cost of tickets has really skyrocketed and this would make it more accessible

What was the montage?

I thought it was really good and George was fantastic—very strong cast. So glad they aired it for free—I was hoping to see it on Broadway but lacked the means.

The play highlighted the press’s role in exposing the anti-democratic tactics of McCarthyism in the 1950’s, when Senator McCarthy adopted authoritarian tactics under the guise of supporting democracy. The montage at the end: A slide show of the greatest news captures of the past 75 years, culminating in Musk’s Nazi salute. Powerful.

I like this model of airing it during the show's closing weekend.
