Where to get cheap river rocks.

I need at least 13-15 tons of river rocks coz its a marshy mess that sees no sunshine. I can't keep mulching it every year coz its a very big area. Landscaper suggested river rocks around the area, and i am open to it - trying to figure out where to buy a lot of 'em for cheap.

What are you trying to achieve?

River rocks in our area will fill with leaves and other material and grow weeds pretty quickly unless you're committed to regularly blowing them and either weeding by hand and/or spraying them with roundup.

I only say this because it's easy to look at rocks and think great, no weeding. But it won't be true. Even paving won't be maintenance free. Think of the nearest abandoned parking lot you know.

The lowest maintenance option is probably dense shrubs, but you will still have to keep it from being overrun by invasive vines.

That’s a few grand in the DC area for river rock delivered.

My neighbor and I did similar with Delaware river rock.

Recommend putting a good landscape fabric down first to help with weeds and in the likelihood you need to remove them so they don’t get too far embedded in the soil.
