Anniversary getaway in New England in july

I know we’re very late to the game, but we have a big anniversary this summer and a 5 day window when both kids will be at camp. We love Martha’s Vineyard but can’t find anything for our dates and number of days (most houses rent for full weeks only). Open to ideas for any special destination or hotel in New England or even upstate New York with a water view, nature access, proximity to restaurants.

Came to suggest Martha’s Vineyard. And it is late and not impossible to find spots there this late. Join MV fb groups and ask there. Cancellations happen and art posted often.

Chatham Bars Inn or Wequassett Inn. Stroll in Chatham at night and see if you can catch a concert at the Bandstand.

Happy Anniversary!

How about a 3 night cruise on a Maine Windjammer? It's a bit like glamping but might be fun? We did one with kids for our 25th.

There are other providers and varying degrees of luxury.

Or the Chatham Inn in Chatham, which is a Relais and Chateau property. It's a small hotel right on Main Street, not a resort. Excellent restaurant in the hotel worthy of an anniversary dinner.

The band concerts are Fridays at 8 pm.
