Seeing that 2nd graders have received their letters curious if 3rd grade has as well?
My kid was “identified” as GT last year before they reinstated CoGAT but she still took the test this year. Curious if we’ll ever see her score |
We just got our letter on ParentVue for our 3rd grader |
Was your child identified in 2nd grade? I just checked and we have nothing in our documents…. But my kid was already identified last year. I just want her CogAT scores |
Yes, it is up in ParentVue now. My daughter was not identified last year in 2nd, but was this year in 3rd.
However it only has the overall percentile, not the breakdown by the different subtests. I am hoping we can contact someone to request that? |
Im guessing those who were previously identified won’t get letters this year since they’re not rescreened…but they did that they CoGAT. I’m hoping they release the scores ![]() https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1CBV-EdM_af3s2TzUmQr4T8bA9kMYMZ-L96jRM2spKDA/mobilebasic#kix.fsy1qqxiiv1e |
My 3rd grader was identified last year. I just checked parentvue and didn't see anything for cogat. |
Just got the same thing in the mall today as well. (3rd grader identified as gifted this year but did not make the cutoff in 2nd because of the district assessments.)
It has all the criteria including the overall COGAT percentile, but no further detail about the COGAT score such as the breakdown of verbal vs math. Does anyone know who we contact to get the more detailed results? |
Sounds like CogAT will be posted this week on Parentvue |
My kid's got a letter in Parentvue that lists the CogAT score (and other data points). |
I heard the full CogAT parent report, with scores fir each area in addition to the composite score would be posted, they wanted it last week, but now said by Friday this week. |
My DD was identified last year in second. I didn't get a letter and nothing is in Parentvue. I too, just want to see the scores. I guess I will keep checking and maybe by Friday it will be there. |
My non identified child got 99% cogat. I guess MCPS was horrible in identifying last year. |
Yup, my non-identified child got a 98% cogat. What's the point of doing all these tests if they aren't used for anything related to CES? |
How is that possible? Isn't everyone with a 90% or higher identified as gifted? |
m PP can you clarify — are you saying that your kid didn’t make the CES lottery or they weren’t identified as gifted this year or last? Or just that they didn’t make it into a CES from the lottery? |
