Given today’s political climate do you regret having kids?

Anonymous
I have 3 kids - 5, 8 and 10 years old. I am in my early 40s. I 100% regret having kids, especially girls, in today climate. I am so sad they have to grow up with the hatred, divisive world that we have now. Not much I can do now but I actively am telling my younger cousins and friends not to have kids.

No, op. Responsible parents having children gives me hope for the future.

Children are a blessing from God, regardless of the political climate.

Not in a million years would this political climate impact me having my kids. They are an absolute blessing who get on my nerves sometimes, but I wouldn’t trade motherhood for anything, especially this jacked up world let alone politics. It’s all in your perspective OP.

Nope. I would have had more if I could have. You all need to get way over your DTDS. I mean trust me, I am not a fan, but this is loony to feel this way. Get help.

Op - I love my kids and maybe regret is the wrong word. But I feel horrible that I brought them into this completely f’d up world.

We aren’t white - I worry constantly about them being discriminated against or worse. I worry for my girls not having physical autonomy.

People have been having kids under far worse circumstances for many tens of thousands of years. Sorry the internet made you crazy OP.

OP, assuming you are speaking truthfully and this is how you really feel (you never know here!), please, as several of us have suggested, get help.

This is a level of disturbed thinking that will be as harmful to your kids as it already has been to you.
