MCPS - Middle School - P.E. Showers?

Hi All, dumb question but, I can't recall from my own childhood and I'm sure it's different now.
Google is telling me that middle schoolers are no longer required to shower after PE, is this correct? If children do opt to shower after PE, are they leaving their PE clothes and towels in the PE locker or bringing them home 3x / week after PE? I'm trying to determine what he'll need in way of supplies and kind of mentally prepare him for what's to come next year. Thanks in advance! |

Really? I read it's no longer required like when I was a kid, but that about 50% do shower. So they're all just changing clothes before and after PE? No showers at all for anyone, not even an option? |

| We didn’t shower when I was in middle school in MCPS 35 years ago, but we were required to change. My middle schooler doesn’t even change! |

+1 mine changes her shoes on the rare day she doesn’t wear sneakers, definitely no changing or showering |

This. I was in line to buy PE clothes and the mom in front of me who had older kids turned around and said nobody dresses out for PE, she was just in line for the school hoodie. I was so glad she told me! It was true. |
