You forgot about Edison. Also, Woodson, Chantilly, and Madison are all better than Marshall.
|
TJ is the only school that is very competitive, selective, and demands a high minimum level of achievement prior to enrollment. Edison's STEM program is also selective but less competitive. The rest only require a friend's or family's address to attend, if not your own address. |
Nah. Outside of TJ, Langley, and McLean, it’s all about the same until you get into the lower ranked schools. And even then-there will be a cohort of academically motivated kids. |
How do you measure "prestige?"
|
Meh.
The most desirable high school is the one your kid is currently zoned for, that you don't want Thru to change. That is the only list that matters right now. |
Marshall is tier 2 the rest is correct |
+1 |
Should be a sticky. |
FCPS is FCPS....some are whiter but they are all FCPS |
And point of post is? |
TROLL. That is the only point. It should be shut down. |
Justice #1 |
Umm wrong on a few counts. 1) Educational and student quality differs drastically between these schools. FCPS is NOT FCPS. 2) The top schools are filled with top students of all races. And if there were one race that filled the role you're suggesting white people play, it would be asians. |
The top schools are filled with the children of wealthier parents. This should not be surprising. |
