Curious is it were targeting lgbt people or Muslims would everyone in county government remain silent?

Do you have an example? Because at my child's school, all white supremacist intimidation/bullying is treated through the lens of antisemitism.

So whenever there's an incident, they bring in the ADL even if the group being targeted was not Jewish.

Two things are true:

1) Antisemitism is real and scary.

2) MCPS deals with antisemitism with alacrity and vigor, veering into knee-jerk territory.

As for whether the county would stay silent if the post was anti-gay, let me tell you a story: After 10/7, a teacher at my child's school accidentally forwarded an anti-Palestinian, anti-queer, video to the entire class. It was clear that the teacher had cut-and-pasted the link, put the wrong link in the email, etc. It was an honest mistake, except insofar as the teacher was forwarding Islamophobic and transphobic propaganda during the work day.

Did that teacher face any repercussions? They did not. This landed in kids' inboxes, whereas I'm assuming whatever you are describing was on a person's personal social media.

The USA is by default anti-Arab and anti-Muslim. Just so we're all on the same page. It's so ingrained since 9/11 that people like OP don't even realize it. There's a baseline level of distrust, and sometimes lethal violence, faced by people who appears as Muslim or Arab.

I deplore any hate attacks, whether it's on Jews or Muslims or Asians or LGBTQ+, or Blacks, Latinos or Native Americans.

But I do want to insist that if you're not white and Christian, there's a portion of people in the US who hate you.
