May 21st Springbrook staffing update letter

"Dear Springbrook High School Community,
As we continue our journey together this school year, I’d like to take a moment to share a vital
staffing update with you.
Ms. Claudette Smith, our dedicated 10th-grade assistant principal, is currently on leave. We
certainly miss her presence, leadership, and the strong relationships she has built with students,
staff, and families. We wish her all the best during this time.
In the interim, I am pleased to announce that Ms. Nicole Brown will serve as the acting
10th-grade assistant principal. Many of you know Ms. Brown through her impactful work with our
internship and apprenticeship programs. She is a former assistant principal with a wealth of
knowledge, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to student success. I am confident
that Ms. Brown will continue to support our scholars with the care, high expectations, and
professionalism that define our Springbrook community."

Is this related to the letter? Are there going to be any other changes in the administration at SB?

In a different thread, a staff member mentioned that one of the other APs is moving to Paint Branch. They also mentioned that an AP is on leave. It could very well be related.

[i]Ms. Smith is out on leave, Mr. Williams is going to PBHS next school year. They both came new to Springbrook 7/1/24. Ms. Brown will be interim administrator and she's awesome!!!! She has been running internship program in the building and its a hit!

I do t recommend teaching as a serious professional until admin are working to support teachers instead of prioritizing cover ups.

Ms. Smith, I believe, had some health issues that were not being acknowledged or respected by Principal Valentine. Not surprised she took time to take care of herself.

Ms. Brown used to be in Admin when Valentine was a Counselor/Teacher. I’m sure she knows how she really is.
