It's 1990 deja vu! |
I'm sad about The Outsiders, which I would have liked to see, but this is otherwise an unbelievably bad line-up and they must know it. Only one show that hasn't been in DC before?? Compare to the National's line-up, which is all new. Even the one (B&B) that they say isn't new is actually a new 25th anniversary production. |
Mean while the National Theatre has an excellent lilneup!! Cant wait for Suffs. |
Many artists and patrons, myself included, will be boycotting the KC until Trump is gone |
That is just silly. |
That's a lousy lineup. Compared to last season it's ridiculous how bad it is. |
NP. If they don't want people to boycott they need to make it harder than this schedule is making it. |
It’s not a sacrifice, because the line up is terrible (and has nothing to do with Trump). Wolf Trap, on the other hand, looks better than usual. |
Agreed! |
NP- not silly at all. Trump's hostile takeover of KC was un-American. Good citizens need to reject his illegal acts. |
Pretty lousy, but Moulin Rouge could be good. Regardless, no KC until this admin leaves. |
+1. Saving my money for the National, Arena, Signature, and the many other local theaters that haven't been destroyed. |
I am torn about not going. Many people’s jobs are affected by boycotting. |
This year wasn’t great. It’s never great. Sound of Music and Les Mis for the 2nd time in 3 years? KC has always been the lamer option. |
Same here. Especially since many are in financial turmoil now that the NEA is being forced to pull their grants. |
