It’s a Nordic crime drama about a missing au pair and it is really good. I highly recommend it. |
Is it in English, dubbed, or subtitled? |
Danish series |
So you mean it's in Danish with English subtitles? |
NP. There is a dubbed version in English, as well as the original Danish with subtitles. I personally always prefer the original language with subtitles. |
I was not a fan (and I love Nordic crime dramas). The whole plotline felt predictable (except the last 10 min which were only predictable for the last episode or two), the neighbors were annoying stereotypes, and there were too many times I thought to myself, “who would react that way to X?” I did like the lead actress. |
The NYT recommended it. I really enjoyed binging it yesterday. |
This was great! Very absorbing. Loved it. |
Interesting to see the obvious exploitation of an imported immigrant servant-class in a country universally heralded as the happiest, most progressive place on earth. |
I watched it, and as mindless TV goes it was okay but it really is lacking. It is totally predictable and there is not one character that is likable. They all lie and do whatever will benefit them the most. |
I hated the ending. I don't always need everything wrapped up nicely, but that was ridiculous. Depressing as anything. |
I liked it, but it did seem unbelievable she stayed "friends" with them for so long. |
Katarina was so awful. What a disgusting person. Great acting, though!
One thing that was never really resolved - why was there a photo of Rasmus with Ruby and another au pair (as well as some other men) and the au pairs were all dressed up? It gave very obvious unsavory vibes, but was it just a red herring? Really good show, but each episode gave me such a feeling of dread. |
So we are to infer Ruby confided in Katarina and then Katarina dragged her outside and threw her in the water? That seemed to be the implication. |
Yes. |
