| Does anyone know how many players FVU or VDA will put on a team for boys u15? |
|
You can look up current roster sizes on the ECNL website:
https://theecnl.com/sports/2023/8/8/ECNLB_0808235537.aspx Current roster FVU: 23 VDA: 19 |
| But they can only bring 18 to a game righr |
| Thanks |
| FVU boys rosters are huge. Don't know why so many want to be there with such terrible coaching. |
| We are in ECNL down south and the teams are around 20. I dont know how they handle regulations for a full attendance but it seems to be the norm for team size. |
alpha bet soup. So many great kids past over because coaches don't know what they are doing on FVU. |
| 19 is probably too small for a HS age team. 22 is about right once you have all the injuries factored in. My player's team was 23. And we routinely had 3-4 out on injury every week. |
| Thats a lot of kids getting hurt. |
That’s what happens once they hit HS. The play is more rough and the bodies are growing at a rapid pace. The injuries take weeks to recover not days. |
| Bumper-Soccer without skills in full effect after U14 |
I've noticed this happening more with basketball despite more kids around us playing soccer. I know soccer gets brutal, I had a couple of concussions in high school through college. Basketball just seemed like the least injury prone sport but its not playing out like that here. Even baseball/softball used to mean more injuries than I've seen. Its very anecdotal but has anyone else noticed less injuries in soccer than before? |
| My son's team had seven out at one time. We played the last game of the year with three goalkeepers, two on the field, to get 11 healthy kids on the field. |
