Anyone get into HM for 3k or pre-k? How was your application?

What should expect in the interview?

There are more spots for 3s than pre-k. But 3s is still pretty competitive. I know several younger siblings who did not make it to 3s.

Yes. I was told 400 applicants for 43 spots last year.

There are tons of applications because it guarantees admission for K.

What are they basing the admission on? I guess the families have to be somewhat connected or known?

I know one family who got in the 3s unconnected from another preschool. The kid was an old 3 so maybe that helped. I heard from the family that the school interviews the parents and child observation takes place.

Thanks. Does anyone know what they tend to ask in the parent interview ? Is it basically as long as you’re a normal family, you are good to go, or do you need to WOW them in some way (not sure how unless you are celeb or donor)?

I would think it is like K parent interview.

“Normal” goes a long way because schools prefer parents that know how to partner with them.
