Nice can't misses

We are going to Nice this summer. For those who have BTDT, anything we should not miss?

There's this little train you can catch by the sea and it'll take you up a hill where you can catch a wonderful view of Nice.

The beach - obviously : the water is amazing and clear.

The old Nice and the markets.

We did the above and also a day trip to Monaco (other destinations also possible).

The flower market. The whole area is really gorgeous. Try and get to Grasse to a perfume factory.

It’s easy to take the bus around. Eze for the gardens. Chagall and Matisse museums in Nice. Picasso museum in Antibes (easy train ride). Hike around Cap Ferrat. Eat socca at Chez Theresa. Rent a car and drive up to the mountain villages for a day (we went to Gordon and did a little hiking).

Agree on the markets and the park overlooking Nice.

Cours Saleya outdoor market in Old Nice (can get socca here). As someone else said, walk the promenade, it's lovely. Take the train to the towns on the French Riviera.

Or Fragonard in Eze-Village - it's on the way to Monaco from Nice. And Monaco is a must-do day trip.

La Cave du Fromager is one of my favorite restaurants and L’Oliviera is close behind!

I was there years ago and am so jealous! It was so beautiful. The water was a deep blue color. If you like the beach, we went to a beach club for a day. It was fun. Took a little tram up the hill to see the view. Have fun!
