Has anyone talked to their doctor about tariffs and generic drug quantity?

Wondering if we should request a longer supply?

No.

But I've been concerned about my access to medication made by Norvo given our president's desire to aggravate Denmark.

There are always drug shortages and price gouging. I wouldn’t worry about it any more than usual.

It's not the doctor- your insurance won't pay for more than 3 months.

My normal $10 three-month supply of a generic at Costco recently jumped to $26. Goodrx said that the Safeway, which is closer and has better hours, had it for $12, so I transferred it.

Yes. They prescribed in a way that enabled me to have a larger supply of critical meds on hand as a result.

Doctors don't like you stocking up, cause that would mean less office visits.
Insurance doesn't like you stocking up, cause that would mean less office visits and pharmacy business.
Pharmacies don't like you stocking up, because...

Notice the pattern. Nobody in the med business wants you to stock up.

Genetics are often cheaper than a copay so no need to involve them.

No, do you talk to your mechanic about dental issues?

Seriously, seek help and get some generic meds for mental issues.

Ridiculous comment. Docs hear back from patients when there are shortages. And they are the people to ask for prescriptions that build in some breathing room.

Return and report in six months about how clever you feel this comment was.
