How do your school's teachers/staff pronounce this test? I had only every heard it pronounced like the medical exam (M-CAP) at our prior school. But this year, we are at a new school, and the principal/staff say Muh-CAP, which an emphasis on the second syllable.
So what say you -- M-CAP or Muh-CAP? |
Em-cap
Kids are 15 and 20. Never heard the other one. |
The exam is EM-cap. Muh-CAP is the principals ' union, MCAAP. |
OP here. The principal of our school (and now teachers/staff, who are following suit) definitely call the state-mandatred test Muh-CAP. (They probably also pronounce the union that way, but they have never said that in front of me.) |
McAp |
Wow, they're stupid. Doesn't bode well for instruction at that school. |
OP here. I’m glad I was not the only one thinking this pronunciation was off. Thank you for settling it. |
