Bethesda Chevy Chase YMCA Question

I am back in the area for the summer and am looking to go to a pool and tan before my home pool opens on Memorial day. I do not want to get myself into a membership (unless cancellation is easy) since I would only be there for a month to get tome sun.

Can I join for a month? Website says I can only use drop-in 3x in a calendar year. Is this a robust rule? How much is a membership for one person? Is it easy to cancel? Is it okay to tan during the weekdays there?

I don’t know the answers but can’t you sit outside at your apartment or house to tan? If you mean you want to be in a bathing suit, I get why you wouldn’t want to do that at an apartment (unless it has a roof deck or pool!) .

OP here: should have clarified that I do not live in a home with a backyard that gets any sun. And my front yard is not a place to tan as it is a townhome.

Call them. We belonged for a summer and they were very nice. It’s a very relaxed place.

Yes they have a phone. Call them, Jesus.

Yes, you can belong for a month but you might still have to pay the initiation fee which is significant. You should call and see if they will make an exception.
