Is the personal finance class at TJ strictly pass/fail?

If we take a language over the summer, could the personal finance class be taken as a 9th grader to free up elective time in the future?

There is no in-person personal finance class offered at TJ. The PFE pass/fail course whose sole purpose is to meet the mandatory graduation requirement is offered through FCPS ACE, and is self-directed, can be taken any time of the year, and doesnt take up or free up any electives.

Yes, technically. However, it’s a good idea to ask the TJ German teachers or the counselors present at Preview Night about how successful students would be transitioning from public school summer online German 1 to full year TJ German 2 — and whether they have any advice for such incoming freshmen.
