Engaging priests at NoVa parishes?

Anonymous
We are currently at a northern va parish and looking to find a new parish where the priests are more … engaging/interesting in their homilies. Does your priest consistently move you? Please recommend!

Thanks.

Where are you currently? We love Fr John at St Ann in Arlington.

Arlington/ Falls Church/mcLean would all be ideal. Thank you!

Really? I like him personally but I find his homilies rambling and so difficult to follow. I usually start zoning out after the first 5 minutes. I miss Fr. Mel.

OP: your best bet is either Queen of Peace is S. Arlington or Holy Trinity in Georgetown

Sounds like you are looking to be entertained. Are you sure you want to stick with the Catholic Church? That said, consider St. Joe’s in Herndon. The new rotation of priests are very good, so much better than the two that just left.

+1. We’re also parishioners at St. Ann and like Fr. John.

Nativity in Burke. Father Bresnahan gives a very well thought out and engaging homily which always includes just a nice amount of humor to engage the congregation. The other priests there are also quite good at illuminating the day’s readings.
