writing enrichment?

Anyone have favorite programs for middle school kid writing enrichment (academic school year or summer both fine)? Have seen Writopia but that seems like it's for kids who love to write and want to get better rather than my kid who doesn't like to write very much. Any thoughts on AOPS Language Arts?

Close in MD would be ideal for location...

My kid did the AOPS language arts classes online during the panedmic and loved them. They were fun & creative. Much better than MCPS!

Aren't they both more SAT prep type places?
