| We have personally observed several serious accidents at the intersection of Nelly Custos and Lorcom. I believe the long-term plan is to install a traffic signal, but since there’s been at least four collisions at the intersection this year, I think there was one the other day that maybe even had a fire? Is the county keeping track of this and understanding it needs to be escalated? With everyone RTO, I believe there’s much more commuter traffic and people and much more of a rush. |

I lived on n Irving st near Pershing drive for almost 20 years. There was a stop sign on Irving.
There was about one crash per month for those 20 years where someone crossing Pershing from Irving would get hit. Arlington put in a 4 way about 5 years ago….so it took about 22 years to fix it. |

I'm not super familiar with that intersection, but if there's something specific people are doing that's causing the accidents or close calls, could you contact police non-emergency and describe what you'd like them to enforce and how often you've seen the violation happen? I recently did that in another county and I was pleasantly surprised that within a week they were doing extra patrols there and called me to give an update about how many people they'd pulled over and educated about why what they were doing is dangerous. Obviously getting the fixes sooner would be preferable, but maybe that's an action you can take meanwhile. |
It’s a thoroughfare intersection with a T stop. People are just trying to make a left in the gap between cross traffic which is usually speeding or at least picking up speed on the downhill |
