The APEs kids are now in middle school, and they have found lots they don't like.

I was just thinking this! So many upper elementary and middle school posts! On another 4 years it’ll be tons of questions about Yorktown.
Dhms is actually really chill. The parents in general are very hands off in real life— teachers are borderline unresponsive so even if you wanted to be hands on you can’t!

the APEs have always spent a huge amount of time on DCUM and other online groups. While complaining about screen time for their kids.

A DHMS teacher spoke at the school board meeting regarding incidents of racism at the school.

I highly doubt that. Dorothy Hamm is a very accepting school. Its namesake honors the school’s important role in U.S. civil rights history. And there are programs throughout the year that emphasize its unique history.

Really? You think that matters? An assembly a few times a year?

I didn’t realize that a teacher had spoken at a school board hearing but dhms actually is kind of a racist school. The kids are very casually racist. My son’s “friends” call him racial slurs because he is not white. It’s really weird since these people are supposed to be his friends. Lots of n words being called on the bus. His older sister says that wl is much better since it’s more diverse.

Looks like parents aren't the only ones stirring the pot.
