The Residence

We started watching this on Netflix last night. Gripping and funny.

Can’t believe no one else has commented on this yet. Seems like a classic DCUM type show. A great whodunnit, dark comedy and has Kylie Minogue in it.

Enjoyed the first few episodes very much. Don't recommend binging it. The shtick starts to get a little old after that and I started fast forwarding.

I binged it with my husband. We kept going back and forth. In the end I was right about who done it. I loved it. I wonder if there will be another season with the Detective. All the actors and actresses were great. Finally, do you know why there was a memorial to Andre Braugher at the end of the season?

He had filmed several episodes before his death, he was the original A. B. Winter. Giancarlo Esposito replaced him.

2 episodes too long

We watched first two, then the last episode. That was adequate.
Too slow. Too cutesy. Would have been a great 2 or 4 hours.

Been binging when I have the time over the past few days. Have one more episode to go. Agree that the first two were great, then it began to drag a bit. Seems like they stretched it to fill up eight episodes. But it's still great fun and can't want to watch the finale!

It’s been a good escape

It was super smart and entertaining, a nice diversion for me.

I’m surprised Al Franken was in it.

Dragged out and tried too hard to be cute/clever.

I just finished it and found it very enjoyable. I think bingeing the whole show would make it less enjoyable, I mostly watched one or two at a time. It's frothy and the characters are interesting and well acted.

It's not a serious show but it definitely illuminates some relationships, and the comedy is gold. The hearing scenes slayed.

The final scene definitely leaves room for a second season and it's been very popular on Netflix, so maybe it will happen.
