If you want to believe in god – believe

Anonymous
There doesn’t need to be a good reason to believe. There’s no need to try to prove that god is real. Maybe you just like going to religious services and hanging out with the people there. It could be that some of them don’t believe, but they’re quiet about it because they also like being around the same folks. Maybe you think religion is good for your kids. Maybe you’ve always believed and can’t imagine anything different. Maybe you think that God has answered some of your prayers.

Whatever your reasons, just keep believing if you want to.

And if you want to to believe but can't, you can still practice!

Thanks OP. Others are giving you a hard time as your benevolence comes off as a tad patronizing.

But I believe (or at least hope) you mean well.

Let words intended to promote peace/ foster mutual tolerance be heard as well intended.

There are more reasons not to believe. Religion causes more harm than good.

Liking going to services and hanging out with the people there is not believing. You’re describing pretending to believe.

Correct. And a lot of people at services, whether they believe or not, are doing good works in the name of the God in which people think they believe.
