| My child had dyslexia. Is this a meeting that I need to go to as far as special ed goes? Not sure how iep and social ed work in middle school? I know we will meet individually at the annual iep meeting. |

If your kid is transitioning to middle school, your annual IEP meeting in 5th grade will determine services in middle school. If you don’t know who your kid’s case carrier is by the start of the school year, reach out and ask.
If you are new to special ed, the Parent Resource Center has an overview session next week, or you can request to meet with them one on one. They are very helpful. |
