US Club gets it + understands that Aug birthdays playing on a grade down team is an issue. So do we want to call this a recommendation from US Club that younger than the SY eligibility window should play with their grade? Seems like that it whats being recommended.

This to me says that US Club recognizes the "disadvantage" of August birthdays playing down in SY depending on when their school starts. It also implies that allowing playing down a grade was not their intention when switching to SY. In the last sentence US Club punts the issue to clubs.

What this says to me is clubs that want to have the best possible college recruits will not allow August birthdays to play on a grade down team. You might see it at tournaments with eligible players playing down as guests. You might also see it at the littles level when it doesnt matter. But they will need to play with they grade eventually to get recruited for college. The longer you wait to play on the correct grade team the harder it is to make the jump up.

No, US club went SY for retention. Have no idea how you invented a bizarre college recruiting issue that doesn't and won't exist for anybody ever.

It's his thing. He's so convinced by it, he feels the need to "educate" all of us here. All the pushback only encourages him more toward his goal to tell people they're wrong.

Next season when theres no players playing down on top teams will sort everything out.

This is America today. They spin everything into their one issue that they are completely invested. If you asked this guy how is the weather he would say it is a great day to try to change the rules to make all August kids not eligible to play soccer.

You are trying to say that playing down a grade is ok when it is not. You sit on this thread all day long trying to normalize it. Parents with kids on top teams are telling you thats not how its going to work.

I'm saying that you hate August kids and want grade year and yet again you try to spin it to your preferred issue so an August kid won't play on your daughter's team. That's lame.
