I have 2 kids. They are both high functioning. One is age 9 with asd and adhd, and he is mainstream with school. His main issue is that he has issues making or keeping friendship. The other one is age 6 with adhd and speech delay, and she is mainstream with school. Her main issue is that she cannot talk well and really bad attention skills. They have been doing well at outside of school lessons and summer camps without any need of support. Except my DD has attention issues (dance teacher complains to me that she can't focus), so far I have not received much complains and I can just easily drop them off. My question is I often come across those programs for Individuals with disabilities (TR) for montgomery county class registration lists for kids, do my kids' profile fit the category of individuals with disabilities requirement? And, are those TR classes have big differences compared to those regular classes? I am asking because I am looking to register classes for my kids in spring, and I wonder if these TR classes are designed only for kids who need more support or could be beneficial to my kids. Thank you.
