FSAFeds App

Anonymous
Not sure where to post this, but since this is a Fed employee question and sort of related to the ongoing threat to federal worker information, I am trying here. Ever since they started to require PIV card sign-in for FSA Feds, the only way I've been able to file claims has been to email my .Gov email with the invoice or other info, and then file the claim from my work computer. For obvious privacy reasons (especially right now), I am reluctant to upload these health docs to my .Gov email and work computer account to them upload to FSA Feds signed into using PIV card. When I try to sign in from FSA Mobile app on my personal phone, it tells me that they cannot locate my FSAFeds account (of course, my PIV card is not attached to my personal phone). Ideas on how to do this securely?

huh. I don't have to use PIV card access to log in to FSAFEDS. I believe it's possible, but I only ever log in on my home computer, which doesn't have a PIV card reader. Maybe go into settings next time you are in the office and change it? Or call them?

I had to log in with my PIV card from my work laptop one time and then I was able to use my login credentials. I think you do need two factor authentication set up.

Same here. Log in at work with your PIV card and that should take care of the initial authentication .

I just logged in this morning. We use a phone # for authentication. (The default is the card but at some point, we set the phone as alternate.). We can load from any computer, but one wrinkle is that the phone # is the Fed work phone. Whenever we did this, this seemed to be either the only or the easiest option.

I'd like to switch it and tried to add a second phone # but haven't figured out how.

Call them. FSAFeds are very helpful on the phone. You can set up a non-gov email login.

You can set it to your personal number. If you have an Authenticator app on your phone phone you can use that as well.
