HCG levels

So I found out I’m pregnant about ten days ago and on Sunday 26th January I had my HCG levels checked and they were 452. And then exactly a week later on 2nd Feb, I did another blood test and saw that my HCG level is 14700! Is this normal? I checked the HCG calculator online and found that I have a doubling time of 33 hrs.


I’m worried it could be a molar or ectopic pregnancy. Planning to get an ultrasound soon though to check and ease my worries!


Also I have no idea when exactly I ovulated as I had a late ovulation this month and I wasn’t tracking anything at all. But last week my OB said I’m likely around 4 weeks based on the first HCG test. This is my first pregnancy.

I dont know but I will say when I had a miscarriage my pregnancy tests would kind of fluctuate. Like one day the line would be pretty faint, the next super dark. I never got my HCG tested because the miscarriage happened fairly early, around 7 weeks. So it seems my HCG levels were alternately low and then normal for pregnancy- not sure how different it would be in your case since your levels are higher than normal

I will say there's no sense worrying about it. I think one of the best things for pregnancy is keeping stress and anxiety low, so I would do everything you can to keep calm and not get in your head about it. Whatever happens happens. Maybe take some magnesium if you find yourself unable to emotionally calm down
