Expecting and trying to decide between the Cradlewise and Snoo! I like that Cradlewise includes features like a noise machine and monitor (which are add-ons for Snoo) and that it converts into a crib for longer use. But the motion is different from the Snoo, and since Snoo has been around longer, there are more reviews on personal customer experience.
Has anyone used Cradlewise? How does it compare to Snoo? Would love to hear thoughts from experienced parents or fellow expecting moms! |
Haven’t used either, but recently purchased the snoo for our first.
The main deciding factor for us was the snoo strapping the baby in and it helping lower the chances of SIDs. The concept of movement + unsecured baby made us a bit uncomfortable, especially since it seems like less parents have actually used them. |
Thanks for the response. I'm still unsure what to go with.
I see the Snoo’s strapping system as a good safety feature for SIDS prevention, but I’m also concerned about limiting baby’s movement. I want baby to be able to move and roll over when they’re developmentally ready, rather than being restricted to just being swaddled on their back. Even before rolling, babies naturally shuffle or curl up, and I think that’s important for development. I’ve also seen concerns about flat spots from being strapped in too much and babies slipping under the clips on a Snoo with the new design which seems dangerous. Cradlewise sounds great because it offers longer use as a crib and more freedom of movement. The motion sensing and app features are also a big plus. I’m curious, though, if anyone has experience transitioning their baby from the Cradlewise bassinet to the crib? Was it a smooth transition? Completely torn here and it's a big investment. |
Each baby is different and I would wait until the baby arrives to decide. Perhaps you have friends you can borrow one from. Also some babies will not sleep in either. |
Snoo can't be shared as easily anymore since they require payment for the app when sharing. Parts also need to be replaced typically after 2nd baby. |
thank you so much for letting me know this!! i was considering if it was worth buying one used and reselling if baby is a bad sleeper but don't want to pay a subscription or new parts |
From the research i've found this is why renting directly from HB may be best since they will replace if it breaks and subscription is included. I'm still undecided between the Snoo and Cradlewise. The Snoo's rental option is a plus, but Cradlewise has a longer use case since it converts into a crib. |
No idea about cradlewise but noise machine is not an add-on for Snoo. It's part of the basic set up. We already have a monitor so that not being included didn't bother me - I'd rather a monitor I can move around the room or house/use after the bassinet stage anyway. |
