White fox hoodie sizing

Anonymous
My early spring bday tween has twisted a White Fox hoodie for her birthday. I know they are probably going out of style soon, but they are 30% off now and she asked for the tiniest most inexpensive things for Christmas and is such a content girl that this feels like something I can and say yes to.

Can anyone with a kid who has one look at the size and tell me what the fit is like? DD wants it to fit big but she’s a shrimpy 10 year old who wears Youth Large or Youth XL sweatshirts. Depending on the fit the youth XLs can be huge on her but in some brands an adult S or M looks comfortably oversized.

Does a 3xs or xxs make sense for a White Fox hoodie, or should I get an XS? I’m baffled by the size chart.

My daughter is a sz 2/xs according to their chart (5’4 115lb) and she asked for the small/medium and it’s the perfect oversized look so I think you could do a xxs/xs - maybe even the xs/s if she’s not that short

Also adding - they are really nice hoodies. Thick and nice quality. I don’t get the hate comments here, at all. They aren’t even that expensive (and esp at 30% off which is what I paid too)

It is very gauche and a bit ghetto/trampy - surely you can see this, no?

It’s a hoodie, like it’s meant to be comfy not to be worn to church or a fancy dinner . Also….how is it trampy if it’s oversized? lol. I’m also on the west coast where hoodies are teen uniforms so no I don’t get how this is different than any other hoodie with a brand name on it.

OP, DD is 5’ tall and something like 95 lbs. and wears the second smallest size (XXS/XS). She can fit into the smallest size, but it won’t be the right amount of oversized then.

Be aware that these take A LONG time to get here. Like a month. Dandy makes some really nice hoodies too, if your DD would like those.

DP. I can see how the models on the site can present that way, but the hoodies are as ghetto/trampy as any other hoodie. Which is to say, not at all.

The quality is great but anticipate they take tons of time to get here

I agree. Go with Comfrt. Very thick and high quality, same oversized look/fit. Popular with teens without the ugly logos and printed designs

How does your 10 year old even know what a White Fox hoodie is??

Order now they take a month to ship/arrive.

OP, the size chart looks like it’s body measurements. So you go by her actual measurements, and the fit should be close to what they show on the model. They aren’t giving you the measurements of the garment.

Not that it will absolutely work perfectly, but that seems to be what the size guide means. I would start there, personally. Obviously she is a kid and will not match the measurements they give, but just go with the biggest one and fudge it.

My 5'1", 80 pound daughter wears a XXS and it's got room to grow.

Something named Alfred Edict or something like that is the new White Fox I think, but mine still wears the White Fox.
