Anyone have experience with this camp? This is for my 2 daughters 11 and 14 y/o, some tennis experience but still at beginner, non-competitive level.

Ours have done a similar Nike tennis one and they would be a good fit for the 11 year old. I think the 14 year old might end up as one of the only ones her age. |
| Our son did the one at UVA several summers ago at age 15 and had lots of fun. He enjoyed staying in the dorms (they put them up in a great one at UVA) and doing all of the random evening activities in addition to the tennis drills/games. |
Thank you for this! Not OP, but my kid would love this! Do you recall how much it cost? |
I *think* it was about $1100 for the Sunday through Thurs overnight camp. |
| My son did the one at UVA. Most of the players in his group were fairly advanced. He is on his high school team and fell in the middle of the pack in terms of ability. |
| OP here. Thanks for all the replies. I did not know about the UVA camp, that seems awesome. |
Wow! That’s really expensive! |
Yes, most sleep away camps are $$ these days. The Nike sports camps do offer half day and full day options that are less expensive, if you are interested. |
| The UVA camp is expensive, however, for somewhat serious players (meaning kids trying to be T6 on a high school team) looking to improve their game, I think it is worth it. My son worked out a problem with his serve there that had been an issue for years. I would not pay that amount for a casual player, and I don’t know that a casual player would enjoy the number of hours per day spent playing tennis. |
