Sending my daughter to daycare soon and they told me to “label anything that I can.” I will need to label bottles, cups, clothes, etc. Any favorite good quality labels with links? Sorry I’m very short on time and don’t have much of an opportunity to research this so I would appreciate more experienced mom’s insight! |
Name Bubbles and Oliver's labels are both great. Do NOT buy Mabel's labels, they come off in the washer and dishwasher almost instantly. If you're desperate, just use masking tape with your child's name and the date. |
OXO labels have held up for cup, containers. (we hand wash) |
I use a sharpie on everything. |
Also -- if you have more than one kid -- use last name only -- so the jacket etc doesn't say Sally Jones when Robbie will be using it in a year or so |
My youngest child is 6 and I still have Tupperware with painters tape and their names on it from daycare. For clothing I just used a sharpies on the label as well. |
Avery no iron fabric labels! I buy them on Amazon. I love that you can write the name in yourself with permanent marker. I’ve never had one fall off in the wash. You can easily pull the sticker off the tag before donating the clothes still. They’re great.
For the name labels, I buy each kid a pack on Etsy for their water bottles. They like sparkly cursive fonts. One pack should last a kid from daycare to elementary school end. |
Just don’t get any that need ironing, what a horrible tedious task that turned out to be. Once I realized my mistake I got some no iron clothing labels from Amazon. The brand is “Chubbiee” |
We just use painters tape + sharpies on anything hard. That’s held up better than any other fancier labels I’ve tried. |
Oh and fabric markers for clothes. |
Sharpie. I used to put the name or initial on the tags of,clothes. Those clothes are going to wear out so I wouldn’t worry about reuse. |
Oliver's labels are the best. I don't like to faff about with iron-ons so I don't get the packs. Make your own pack with all stickees. The skinny stickies are so versatlile. Love the small ones and the shoe ones too. They stay on during washes. |
We use name bubbles and they hold up great.
Also +1 to just using last name. We’ve got three kids, and everything gets handed down. |
We use Mabel's Labels and they work just fine. We've used them since our now-kindergartener was a baby. I put them on everything. Only rarely have they fallen off.
You can definitely use sharpie on many things. It's just nice to be able to reach for a sticker and put it on whatever needs a label (like when you realize at 8am it is show and tell day and you need to find something quickly and label it ASAP). |
Unless you have a super common last name (ours is Smith) |
